Zero-day – 5/25

This post is likely to be a short one. We’ve finally experienced a true zero-day. In the past, we’ve used our zero-days as days to restock on groceries and do laundry but we’ve learned that we really should just plan in an extra day for those chores and then a different day to serve as a true zero-day.

It’s been another absolutely beautiful day, which we are still extremely grateful for after it rained so much during the first week of this trip. Today consisted of more gin rummy, reading, organizing some of our things, and swinging in our hammocks. It’s been a really slow and lazy day, but we’ve really enjoyed it.

Tomorrow we’ll be headed back to the Blue Ridge Parkway and will be making our way to the campground at Rocky Knob on the Parkway. It will be quite the drive from where we had hoped to be today, but honestly, we’re just glad that we were able to find a spot on Memorial Day weekend. Tomorrow is also our last day full day as we’re heading home Monday.

Life in the right lane,

Rachel
