387 Days Gone By

Y’all. It’s been more than a year since our last blog post. So, naturally, apologies are in order. And although we’ve been failing to share our updates and most recent adventures, we haven’t been sitting idle. We’ve done SO MUCH in the past year that I’ve (Rachel) honestly been waiting to share these updates all at once. We also knew when we started this blog that there would be quite a bit of time in between posts until we’re able to head out on some more interesting, blog-worthy trips.

These next few posts will cover what we’ve been up to, the updates we’ve made to DMG, and the updates we’ve made to our TCTeardrop (WE GOT A TEARDROP)!

I’ll finish this blog with some updates about what Will and I have been up to in the 387 days since we last posted. Will has been working hard (or hardly working, we’re still not sure). Last spring he started working heavily with High Spead Gear HSGI and even ended up directing his first video for this company (Check it out here). He’s also continued working with Modern Arms and started working with a new company out of Sanford, NC, Insurgent Tactical. Outside of staying busy with work, he’s found a new interest in listening to books through Audible. Not surprisingly, the books he has been reading focus mostly on George Washington, Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, and the American Revolution.

Since our last post, I was accepted into the MedFT program at East Carolina University and started classes in the fall. I graduated from the Marriage and Family Therapy program in May, had a wonderful, relaxing summer, and started classes for the Ph.D. program in August. I attended my first AAMFT conference in Atlanta, GA in October and have begun to work on an area of interest for my dissertation. To keep myself sane and keep from overdosing on school, I’ve been continuing to read a number of books for fun and spent some time over the summer helping to organize my family’s ancestral home.

Gus and Lilly have been keeping themselves busy with basset things. They learned to love being in the water at Goose Creek State Park over the summer (though not by choice) and have continued to break their own records for longest naps. They both continue to drool way too much and sing way too loud.

Stay tuned for some updates on what we’ve done with DMG and to read all about our new teardrop.

835 days until our great American Adventure begins.

Rachel
